Chinese manufacturer OnePlus has released a new flagship in the shape of the OnePlus 7 Pro. The camera in the new model ups the ante over its predecessor by packing a triple-camera solution with ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. The OnePlus 7 Pro is full of surprises behind its true all-screen display, unblemished by a notch cutout or punch-hole camera. It hides a novel pop-up selfie camera and offers a 90Hz screen refresh rate that makes games and movie-watching look more fluid. #1. Split Screen

Split screen view or multi-window mode feature is helpful to use two apps at the same time in your OnePlus 7 Pro device. You can watch YouTube video and chat with your friends WhatsApp at the same time. Did you found the split screen mode option? Let see how to enable and use a Split screen.

  • Open an app that you want to use in split screen
  • Now swipe dock bottom to top/press recent button if you didn’t activate
  • Then press three dots on the top right corner
  • Tap on the Split screen
  • If you can’t find the Split screen option on an app, for example, Instagram, the app does not support Multi Window mode.
  • To open another app in the split screen view, select a second app in RECENT. Or,
  • you can touch APP LIST and then select your desired app.

  • The second app should appear underneath the first app.

#2. Zen Mode

So what is Zen Mode? It’s a feature that disables everything but incoming and emergency calls and the camera for 20 minutes. Once you activate it, there’s no way to disable it, and it forces you to live life rather than be engrossed in your screen.

To enable this setting: Drop down the notifications/settings shade, and swipe across, then tap on the Zen Mode option.

Keep in Mond: If Zen Mode option is not appearing in notification panel so edit the notification panel and add Zen Mode option.

#3. Screen recorder

Oxygen OS 9.5 is getting a new in-built screen recorder that will allow you to record video and audio on the phone. There’s also the option to record external sound via the microphone. It’s a super useful feature when you want to record a gaming session.

The best part of a native screen recorder is that it comes with a lot of customised options. For example, you can record the display at its original resolution – QHD+ on the OnePlus 7 Pro or scale it down. Plus, you can also adjust the bit rate of the recording between 20Mbps to 1Mbps. Then there’s also the option to change orientation, show on-screen touches, and automatically pause recording when the screen is off.

#4. Gestures-only navigation

Enable Dock

  • First, you need to enable it by going to “Settings”
  • Scroll down till you see the “Buttons & gestures”
  • The tap “Navigation bar & gestures”
  • Now you will see three options but if you want to use new Android Pie gesture so select “Back, Home” (Swipe up on Home Button)

Swipe Gestures

Go to Settings > Buttons & gestures > Navigation & gestures, and then choose the  “Navigation gestures” option. When you turn this mode on, there are no virtual buttons on the screen. All you need to control your phone with swipes. Home is a swipe up from the bottom of the display; multitasking is a swipe up and hold, and back is a swipe up on the bottom left or right.

#5. Change the screen unlock animation

Go to  Settings > Security & lock screen > Fingerprint, then type in your PIN and select “Fingerprint animation effect”. Now choose from one of three different animations.

If you want to change the screen unlock animation, it can be modified as per your choice.

#6. Quick Search

  • Long press the Home Screen
  • Then go to settings
  • Then tap on Drawer
  • Then Enable Quick search

Now if you open all apps to swipe up so you will the quick search option. You can easily find your desired app.

#8. Change Screen Refresh Rate

OnePlus 7 Pro features a 6.67-inch full Fluid AMOLED display that comes with a QHD+ resolution and refreshes rates of up to 90Hz, which is the first device from OnePlus.So that means it’s sharper and definitely better looking than the displays on the older Oneplus smartphones. This new display is claimed to be super smooth and bright with a pixel density of 516ppi and is also said to provide immersive gameplay or video playback in ultra high resolutions. The Fluid display represents smoother animations while scrolling and opening your day to day apps, according to OnePlus.

  • Go to the Settings menu
  • Then Tap on Display
  • Tap on Screen Refresh rate
  • You can change the screen refresh rate 90Hz or 60Hz

#9. Hidden Space

Smartphones are no more just calling and texting devices. Their features and functions have enhanced users’ experiences. The apps installed on our phones give us the choice to do so much more than just playing games or scrolling through social media screens. Apps contain a lot of personal information and you definitely want to keep some of it secret

  • On Home Screen, Swipe up to Open App Drawer
  • The long swipe to the edge of the screen left to right
  • Now you will Hidden Space
  • Then tap on “Plus +” icon and select your apps that you want to hide.
