On many high-end Android devices, you can simply swipe down on the fingerprint sensor to expand the notification shade. Similarly, a swipe up will collapse the notification panel. 6. HOW TO NAVIGATE USING GESTURES AND SINGLE KEY IN HONOR 20 Pro
Want to try something different, the Android Pie has a native feature that will enable system navigation easy using the gestures. However, phones running on EMUI or later can be used for a similar gesture-based navigation. The Honor 20 Pro supports this new gesture features and it can be enabled from the Settings -> System -> System navigation and choose the first option Single-key navigation if you prefer the navigation key or Gestures if you prefer everything on gestures.
Here’s how the navigation gestures with single-key work.

8. HOW TO USE CLONE APPS – RUN TWO WHATSAPP, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM IN HONOR 20 Pro
EMUI comes with an App Twin feature that doubles the apps so that you can run two accounts. This is one of my favorite features in the EMUI, running two of the same apps simultaneously is a great feature, either it’s WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, or any supported app you want can be cloned in two. No need to worry about getting a new phone just to run two WhatsApp accounts.
Go to the Settings -> Apps & Notifications -> App Twin and choose the available apps you want to clone.

10. HOW TO USE SMART ASSISTANCE OPTIONS0 IN HONOR 20 Pro
After you’re done looking at the Knuckle gestures, it’s worth going back a screen and taking look at these settings for more options to make your life easier. Smart assistance > Smart key gives your fingerprint scanner even more functionality — including the ability to open selected apps by pressing, pressing-and-holding, or double-pressing your scanner. My personal set-up has the double-press opening the camera, and pressing-and-holding opening Google Now — great for taking quick snaps and getting answers quickly, since using your fingerprint scanner also unlocks the screen.
You can also find other options here, including the ability to turn on one-handed UI — great for those without the huge hands required to reach across a large screen. When turned on, swipe the navigation keys at the bottom of the screen to shrink your view onto one side of the screen or the other.
11. HOW TO SHOW BATTERY PERCENTAGE IN HONOR 20 Pro
The Honor 20 Pro comes with a notched display which means its status bar at the top is divided into two parts. The battery icon is on the left, while the Wi-Fi and other network indicators are on the right of the notch. With a beefy battery, it is unlikely that you will ever worry about running out of juice on the Honor 8X in the middle of the day. However, if you wish to show the remaining battery percentage on the status bar, head over to Settings -> Battery -> Battery percentage and then select your preferred layout.

Enable the option and then specify whether you would like to auto record all
incoming calls or only the ones that you receive from listed numbers.
15. HOW TO MANAGE YOUR APP MANAGEMENT IN HONOR 20 Pro
The jury is out as to whether shutting down apps benefits your energy consumption and available RAM as a whole — and regardless of your views on this, app management is baked pretty hard into the Honor Magic’s OS. Unfortunately, it can be a bit overzealous at times, closing apps that it shouldn’t be closing, including ones that you’re listening to at the time. Apps like Pocket Casts and SoundCloud are often victims of this, and it’s rather annoying to have your audio randomly interrupted. If that ends up affecting you, you’re going to want to stop it from happening.
Thankfully, it’s easy to do so. Go to your main app drawer (or home screen), and find Phone Manager > Battery > Close apps after screen lock and set the Close all option to off (not blue). Then, hit the settings gear in the top-right corner, and make sure that Close excessively power-intensive apps are also set to off.
16. HOW TO ON DATA SAVER IN HONOR 20 Pro
If you don’t want any of your installed app to use mobile data in the background or just limit your overall mobile data use, you can use the Data Saver mode in Honor 20 Pro. Honor 20 Pro also comes with Eye comfort or you can say night mode that eliminates blue light from the screen to relieve visual fatigue. Head to the Settings -> Display and turn on Eye comfort. Alternately, you can tap the shortcut in the notification panel.

If you prefer to switch off your Honor 20 Pro every night before you sleep, you can use the scheduled power on/off feature on the device. Apart from switching off your 8X at a specified time, you can also turn it back on at a specified time every day. The Honor 20 Pro can also be unlocked via your face data, it supports Face Unlock feature. Enable it under the Settings -> Security & Privacy -> Face Unlock. You will need to add your face data and save it. When you have successfully added the face data, try to unlock it while holding it up front.
21. HOW TO USE ONE-HANDED UI IN HONOR 20 Pro
What if I told you that you can use the Honor 20 Pro with one hand reaching the corners of the screen? If one of your hands is occupied, this cool feature in the EMUI will let you use the phone with one hand. Try this easy gesture, swiping on the bottom at the on-screen navigation buttons will enable One-handed UI.
Before you do it, you will need to turn it on if it’s not turned on already. Head to the Settings -> Smart assistance -> One-handed UI and enable the mini screen view. You can also enable one-hand keyboard which shifts the keyboard and dialer on either side.
22. HOW TO USE SPLIT-SCREEN MODE IN HONOR 20 Pro
We’ve all been in the situation where we’re having to juggle multiple tasks at once. You need to send that email, but this cat video is really funny. It’s because of these all-too-common situations that we’re seeing more and more devices ship with the ability to show two apps at once. While most split-screen modes are designed primarily for phablets and tablets, you can nonetheless try out split-screen mode on the (relatively!) small screen of your Honor 20 Pro.
To activate EMUI 5’s split-screen mode, simply long-press the overview button on the bottom-right of the screen (the square one), and your screen will split in two, the bottom view offering you a list of previously open apps. Just tap one and get going!
Like Knuckle gestures, this one seems like a gimmick, until you come to a situation where having multiple screens open at once really helps. Watching a recipe video and want to take notes? Bust open Google Keep in your split-screen mode and take notes while the video streams uninterrupted.
23. HOW TO CHANGE DISPLAY DENSITY IN HONOR 20 Pro
The Honor 20 Pro comes with a 6.39-inch FHD+ display. If you want to make the most of the display, you should change the screen density to display more content on the screen. This might not seem like a big deal but once you get around to lowering the display density of your Honor 20 Pro, there’s no going back. Changing the display density is different from changing the text size. This is because in the former the size of the UI elements also changes accordingly.
You can change
the display density on your Honor View 20from Settings -> Display -> View Mode.
24. HOW TO CHANGE HOME SCREEN WALLPAPER AUTOMATICALLY IN HONOR 20 Pro
I get bored with my home screen wallpaper pretty easily and like to change it on a regular basis. However, finding a new wallpaper every other day is a tedious task in itself.
If you are in the same boat as me, Honor has a nifty feature to help you avoid this headache. Emotion UI will simply change the wallpaper for you on a random basis from its own gallery of wallpapers.
To enable this feature, head over to Settings -> Display -> Wallpaper and enable the Randomly change home screen wallpaper option. You can then specify the interval after which the wallpaper will be changed automatically and select whether you want the wallpapers to be from Huawei’s wallpaper gallery or your own set of photos stored on the device.
25. HOW TO CHANGE THE FONT IN HONOR 20 Pro
While you cannot install new system fonts on the Honor View 20 Pro, you can change the default font on the device. Huawei/Honor bundles their own ‘Huawei’ font on the Honor 20 Pro. To switch to it, head over to Settings -> Display -> Text Style.
